Nice endli man ! The marking look like they will be all disorganized and crazy (more desirable)

Thanks!

My LFS had some really good looking little guys.

I tried Hikari Carnivore Pellets tonight. I accidentally dumped seven of them in and they fell right on him. I left them there for a little over an hour and he didn’t touch them at all. I went ahead and cleaned them out and did a five gallon water change (on my 29 gallon tank) at the same time. The pellets were starting to stink. Anyway, I gave him a few red wigglers instead. He likes those a lot and has been eating a few each night.

Any ideas on how to get him to eat the carnivore pellets? I don’t think he doesn’t like them or anything like that, but I don’t think he realizes they’re food.

once it has been stuffed with red wrigglers, as it has been for the past few feeding sessions, restrain yourself from feeding it for 2-3 days. Once that time period has passed, drop one piece of hikari in and see how it reacts. It should be more responsive as the day(s) go by. Eventually it'll come around - that's how I get my polys onto pellets. Besides, Hikari is one of, if not the best, pellets around so polys will quite readily eat them.

Thanks, I will give that a try. It is hard for me to restrain feeding this little guy because all I want him to do is grow really fast so he’ll be ready for my 220. Lol

How big is it now ?

I always mashed up some tilapia and covered a pellet or two like a meatball to pellet train them

It’s only about 3-4”.

Id bulk him up a bit then start the pellet battle. Oddily enough besides one or two polys mine never cared for carnivore/massivore. Everyone else seems to have no issues with the stuff.

What always worked for me was nls thera A and tilapia meatballs. The garlic smell i think did the trick

Thanks!

I've got an endli growout just like yours. It only eats tilapia. Won't eat nls thera a (#1 stinker of all time!!!!!!) and hikari gold. Im gonna wait until it bulks up w/tilapia before starving, then with the pellets.
