I love the comments on the video. People are dumb. Just because they eat other fish in the wild, doesn't mean you should do the same.

Is it more Ok if it were a mouse.... or goldfish.... or guppy.. or a live worm .. or a cricket?
no it wouldnt be ok if it were me..i keep monster fishes but never feed them live.so for me its never ok to feed your fishes live and say thats what happens in the wild because a fish tank is not wild.

I didn't watch the video because I could tell from the title it is something I do not wish to see. I do buy crickets for my salamander and my Chocolate also gets them as a treat. Crickets, feeders, etc. are bred as a food source as are the many animals we consume. No I would not feed a pet stock fish/animals to a pet as MOST "normal" people wouldn't. Putting the two situations in comparison is a stretch.

dont 100% sure agree with it. I feed live but i would never feed something like a gt. My feeders are grabed and eatten quickly, not chased around a tank, killed bit by bit.
But when it comes down to it, this thread will be closed. fights always start from people who believe in no live food and those of us who feed heavily live foods.
it always happens

I have to admit I do quite agree with you. I have fed my guys some feeders ni the past - but like above, ones that are just gobbled up in a second. But this poor gt just gets chased and pecked at, its a slow and very painful death for such a beautiful fish.

Youtube is full of these videos though - I've even seen one where people have dropped a live mouse into a piranha tank - and that was just gruesome.

i think you nailed it. i don't believe it is cruel because they used a green terror as food. i mean if you're going to feed live i don't really think the goldfiish that was raised to be food understands that any more than a GT. i mean come on people if you feed live fish you feed live fish, don't get uncomfortable and base it on a species by species basis.
it's the size of the fish that makes this wrong. being so large it leads to a slow cruel death. a feeder is a feeder (regardless of species) but don't make it torture on the feeder for one's own sick pleasure.

I wish I could see the video. I know I saw a video of a snakehead tearing apart a largemouth bass on youtube. But I am assuming this is a different video.
