Randomly there was this tiny little mouse, it's eyes aren't even opened laying on the table in the garage next to an empty tank. It didn't move until I poked it a bit, it was still alive!

One of my cats will attack the mice outside and kill them. I bet she tried and killed the mom mouse and she had to drop it's kid to save her own life. Well I felt sad for this little baby mouse and thought maybe by luck I can be his daddy.:)

I searched a bit and bought some of that milk formula for cats and dogs and a tiny little bottle for feeding smaller animals. I also bought a little light so at least one side of his enclosure will be warm. I put a paper towel and 2 small stuffed animals near him so he can sleep next to something soft.

He has fur, so he's not a pinky or anything, but his eyes aren't open yet. Which I hear takes around 2 weeks, so he must be under 2 weeks old. He NEEDS to be fed 2-4 hrs a day especially when younger, this will be pretty hard for me. I fed him at 8 and will in a few more minutes before 10. I also will feed him around 3 am when I wake up for work, but he will have to wait until I get home at 12:30 for another feeding. I hope he can make it.:( He is skinny, more than normal it looks like so he will need his feedings.

I hope the little guy can make it.

thats so sweet of you to try and save him... i hope it works... keep us posted...

Hope he makes it! Crossing my fingers everything will go along well.:)

you could feed him to the fish ya know....

but if it works out, you'll have a mouse.. and who wouldnt want a mouse?

Oh wow. You've got a heart the size of the whole outdoors, how sweet <sniff>. Good luck with him. If he doesn't make it it won't be for lack of someone caring. Someday you'll be an awesome parent!

It's hard. I tried for 1 and a half weeks with mine.

His nest was in the lawnmower, and he was the only one that survived us turning it on. I named it Moses, he didn't even have fur.

I used evaporated milk, though, i suppose the formula's probably better. Keep it warm.

Good luck.

I almost pissed myself when I read the title and the first paragraph, I thought it said "I found a baby moose"...

One thing that is IMPORTANT: The mother licks the baby's, erm, "magaga", to make it urinate and defecate. Otherwise, it will not.

Lucky you! You get to replicate this! You can either get down and dirty with the mouse, or use a warm (NOT HOT) moist paper towel, and have at it.
