Good thing about buying fish from walmart is they come with the walmart guarantee. They guarantee everything in their store for 90 days...fish included. :D

I don't care if he turns out to be 6ft, poisonous and likes to eat human fingers..I won't take him back to walmart.. they would probably flush him anyway..

If he turns out to be too much for me I can rehome him or donate him to a responsible pet store.

Update, he is doing fine..I had a small patch of brown diatoms, I think you would call them, usually it goes away on its own in a few days..but he has already eaten it..

He is also munching on a shrimp that was mistakenly put into his tank LOL.

He has thoroughly explored the tank and already has a few favorite spots..most are hidey holes as he HATES the light with a passion (even natural light) I can't imagine how bad he must have felt under the ultra bright lights at Walmart being on 12+ hours.

He is doing something a bit unusual..when it is nice and dark..he will lay on the gravel out in the open a bit..and sort of move rocks around..he only does this at night...and I am noticing that at night he seems to prefer laying on the bottom in the gravel..maybe he is sleeping..my other pleco (different kind, not in the same tank) will lay everywhere.

Should I put sand in the tank for him? Right now it is just smooth gravel..
