What is the name of that store? Looks like it might be worth checking out. Do they have decent freshwater livestock?

One of our LFS has a small hammerhead shark about a foot and a half long. They had two originally but sold one of them. They claim it's a dwarf and wont grow any larger than 4 feet long or so. Absolutly facinating to watch...

I have never heard of a dwarf Hammerhead.

fox lake is pretty far away from indiana. it's like 45 min-1 hr away from me and i'mlike 45 min away from chicago soo....

and eman it's a bonnethead, basically a dwarf hammer. they have some of those at the Shedd and i just thought that they were babies.

ya, chicago for for me is 45-50min, indiana wooo. Fox lake is about 10min from the cheeseland border.

Those are definatly Lemon Sharks. But its sad they are being sold and especially in a 1,500 gallon system. First off Lemons grow to large for 99.9% of aquarists to house ethical. They need systems of atleast 30,000, how do people figure 1,500 will do justice? If they have an email please supply with me with, or go in there your self and tell them about the Shark and recommend they donate them to a Local Aquarium and never get them in again. They could put Grey Smoothhounds perfectly in that tank for life, no need to threaten 3 Lemons with theirs. As for the "dwarf" hammerhead, it is indeed a Bonnet Head Shark, Bonnets are in the "Hammerhead" family, they share the same physical descriptions. Bonnets need around 4,000 gallons to be house ethical and enjoyable. And shouldn't be attempted by anyone other than a professional or someone who has been involved with Shark husbandry and keeping for many years. Again, the stores email would be helpful.

I tried looking for a website online but no luck. And I dont think the sharks going to spend its entire life in that tank swimming around its large dounut. Id buy them but I dont really care for a 50x50 foot tank

There might be a phone number though on the google map to the store. Perhaps you could call and tell the guy.
