I found a trimac!!!!

Not only did he survive, he is doing better than ever. He is out just about all the time now and he is eating much better than ever before. Maybe there is hope for me being able to keep a trimac after all.
 
That is awesome that he made it. How long was he there for?
 
He was missing for about five days. I'm not sure if he spent most of the time in the overflow or in the sump though.
 
I always find nice sized baby africans in the bottom of my eheim canister filter a few times a year when I clean it out....amazing they survive and grow well in there.
 
I read a post on Petfish about a... I think it was a loach or a small catfish... anyway, it went missing for months and was finally discovered in the filter box, having grown several inches and looking great.
 
Trimacs grow pretty fast and eat like gluttons! And the more they grow the meaner they get-in my opinion one of the prettiest and aggressive cichlids out there!
 
That's really cool! Trimacs are the best! They can be the badest of the bad when they get biger.
 
Just threw some flakes and various pellets in the tank for their morning feeding. That little trimac is awesome, he's right there with all of the big boys now. Hopefully his days of hiding are long gone.
