Heart ache.
Likely to be septicemia. Cause could either be water quality or indigestion of food in the stomach. Red blotches on the underside is usually the first sign. Large water change and no feeding for a week help rid of the problem.

Thanks for your input. I suspect the red blotches were bite marks from other bichirs that tried to take a bite out of it. I did water change on Fri night, and haven't fed them the past two night
