I got a free Black Ghost Knife!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks everyone.:)

The knife seems to be quite at home in my tank, it comes out and swims around during the day as well as at night. And even though it was raised on blood worms I have it eating pellets already. He came right up to the surface and was waiting for pellets it was great! A very cool fish!

I just fed it some chunks of thawed tilapia fillets, it LOVED it! I love this fish! He has his feeding spot now, at the back corner of the tank, he hangs out there and waits to be fed.

Here he is, waiting for food! He moves the intake tube of my XP4 for some reason, he unsticks the suction cup all the time. I just leave it now lol!

Anyone know how to sex these guys?

Nice pickup! i cant wait for my new baby to get this big, and that woman must have been doing huge daily waterchanges for him to not be stunted in that tank thats crazy but at least you have him in nice big tank now :) and as for sexing, no one knows, there is speculation that you can sort of tell by the shape of their head, one has longer nose portion while other is more blunt though have no idea which is which and its not 100% sure breeding on these guys has really only happened by accident here in the states though there is rumor that somehwere in asia they are being commercially bred

They were bred here in Aus by a fella in perth. He has young to prove it. He doesn't have any detail about ow they spawned though, so could be a bit of a hoax.

i tend to not doubt your comment about asians commercially breeding bgk fish. the asians are so much more ahead of most other countries, when it comes to aquarium technology. somone posted a thread showing photos of an open asian tropical fish market, today. the photos were amazing.
