i got a 55 with 2 oscars, a silver arowana, a green severum, a jack dempsey, they are all about 3 inches but i am already saving for the upgrade haha.

Glad to hear you are talking upgrade already...
If it were me, I wouldn't another dime into that 55g, you are going to need to put it into a much larger tank to properly house the fish you already have...they are fast growing, and will probably need a larger tank way before you have the big tank ready...IMO
