It was a Christmas gift actually.I've never been to Chili's and have never used a gift card at any eatery so I'm wondering about a few things...should I just order something cheap that won't go over the card amount, and if so,will I look like a cheapskate?...Do I leave a tip?The card was going to just sit on my dresser and collect dust as I was in no hurry to run out and go out of my way to use it but I've found out that there is a Chili's just a few minutes drive from my house.

Chili's makes good food go have a nice dinner and let the card help pay it down. You leave a tip if the service is good enough to deserve a tip as is the usual deal when you eat out.

you can order over the card limit just have to pay the difference, if you sit in the restaurant tip as you would normally. if you order under the card limit thats fine you will have a balance i dont think the 16 yr olds working there will care if your a cheapskate

I usually just go all out, pay what I can with the card, pay the rest in cash or whatever. Also, yeah man...you gotta tip. Waiter is still providing a service, but only if the service is still good!

regift . jk ... but really wow a restaurant card for 10 bux ? ..... I can see for starbucks but you can't get nuttin for no 10 bux at any decent restaurant . good luck with that , i hope you like chilis but seriously I would give it to someone who likes chills and would eat there anyways ...

You could give it to me ;). But in reality get what ever looks good and use the gift card to help pay. May I suggest the pasta?

I'm a big Chili's fan, its one of my favorite mega-chain restaurants. I'd recommend the quesadilla explosion salad, with a soda you'll prolly be just over 10 bucks... when you get the bill, just give them the gift card along with whatever other form of payment for the rest and tip based on the original bill (before the gift card). Bam, leave happy.
