La
i just got a ticket because the cops setup a trap. a guy was in the middle of a busy street. i pass him and all of a sudden a cop pulls me over acting like a complete jack@$$ to me. it wasnt just me who got pulled over but 5 other cars too. i dont know what i can do. is there anything i can do?

were you doing something wrong? if so.. no you cant do anything..

My drivers edd teacher tought me this a couple years ago.

You can take the case to court, but it might not work

You can reschedule your court case i believe 3 times, do it on mondays and tuesdays and wend. If the cop is lazy enough he will end up not showing up and you will win the case.

i'm sure he explained this better, but it was about 3 years ago so I cant really remember.

as a police officer, you can go to court and fight it. dont get mad at us, most times it is the community that calls and wants tickets wrote in a particular spot, most of us have much more important things to do than to scroll a bunch of tickets...

what exactly was going on? failure to yield to a pedestrian? was the "guy in the middle of the street" standing on a crosswalk?

fishbait pm me and ill give u some hints for court...

the guy was in the middle of the street when there were a bunch of cars moving. he was j walking. no cross walks or anything like that. on the ticket it said infraction, do any of you know how much this ticket will be? i just want it to be under 500

That sucks.. I got pulled over recently for not wearing my seatbelt, but it's ok for motorcyclers to wizz by with no helmet.. lol

Anyway sounds failure to yeild to a pedistrian? I know in MD the court is laxed because they see 100 cases a day, you can plead not guilty and get probabtion before judgement(like a warning, usually no points/reduced fine) but in PA you go to local town court and you're guilty before you walk in the court room even if the cop doesn't show. Guess what I'm saying is if you're dealing with a bigger court system I think you have more of a chance for smaller punishment/fine.

Next time, take Gabriel Inglesia's advice, give him a box of Krispy Kreme donuts.
