What's wrong with hard boiled eggs? I've feed my cichlids eggs on several occasions, and used the yolk as fry food several times as well. I say hard boiled eggs are fine.

Congrats on the spawn.

Seriously, with what CB can handle at the moment, just feeding the fry of crushed up flakes and frozen baby brine shrimp will still yeild an overwhelming amount of fry.

Those eggs will dissapear or the lot of otherfish will.

Catfish will always eat the eggs. I have not catfish in my 9 breeding afircan cichlid tanks ,it puts fish off (especially egg layers) ,well maybe not cons, theyll breed in anything

Right on doug!!! Congrats on the eggs!! Id hold off on feedin the cons HB eggs though. When I had breeding cons with fry I would feed them ground up pellets or flakes and I had a ton of fry. I stillhave one that I kept, I call him Jamal. Jamal is one sharp lookin con too.....

Feeding eggs is probably unneccessary (chicken eggs, that is)
the catfish will probably eat the con eggs though, so you should probably remove it.

Let us know when they hatch! I feed my fry crushed flakes, infusoria, newly hatched brine, krill powder, egg yolk (thanks for the tip Cross127), earthworm juice, tilapia oils/juice, and any other micro-food. Earthworm juice works amazingly well, but it's messy. Also, leave all the algae in your tank, the fry will feast off of it all day.
I hope you get your camera back soon so we can see some pics.

I wouldn't feed the adults egg, but some will disagree with me.

see if you can find someone near you with micro worms,,soooo easy to reproduce and cheap and great for fry<congrats bud
