Even if it turns out to be a regular blood parrot, $8 is a good deal. And there's nothing wrong with regular bps.

Mixing Fh x bp gives you a mixed bag. Most fry are low grade Fh but you do end up with some really nice ones. It just takes a lot of patience because they might not fade or show their adult colors till they reach 5-6" so you just have to pick out a few nice ones and keep your fingers crossed.

Here is a pick of the sm fhxparrot I picked up yesterday at my LFS....already showing pearl coloring! Can't really tell what yours is until you take a photo of it in water....but the body shape looked more of a regular bp.
