I got my centre piece cichlid

I finally decided on a centre piece fish. i went to the lfs yesterday and there was a juvenile "midas" that showed some good attitude towards me but i didnt have the lid and light set up for the tank yet.
went back today and he was still there. so glad. he was labelled as a midas but in the next tank there was some very similar looking juvies named red devils.
they are so much alike that im sure i have a midevil. i dont care though he does have some anger in him. he was biting the bottom of the bag on the way home and really going for it too.
he is about 3" or just under. i will post pics of him in the bag but he sulking a little in the tank just now so i cant get him in there yet.

I gotta say, Excellent choice! They are some of the most personable cichlids around hands down! I love my little guy so I know what you mean!

here he is. he was charging me when i moved my face from the glass in the lfs and he swam away when i went close, the rest just stayed away. he carried on doing it for about 5 minutes. so he kind of picked me.

Cute! Cant wait to see how he looks when hes bigger..
 
what you dont see in the pics is him flaring his gills in the corner of the bag like he is extremely angry. he was intermittently attacking the bag as well.
 
Is he considered a Barred Midas or will he eventually peel into a normal color?
