GREAT!! Glad you're making progress. Pay no attention to the 'short chase'. They're cichlids. They will spar & chase & sort out a 'pecking' order eventually. Adding new fish will change the dynamics but should not be a problem. Some will suggest quarantining the new guys for a bit before adding to the main tank. Solving the CAUSE of the algae growth might be less expensive & more beneficial than adding to the bio-load w/ plecos & snails........just a thought. BTW multiple gourami's will probably smooth things out in the 55g also. "T"
