thank you i dont want him to get drop eye. why does that happen it just stays there. but if i see him looking down i will do the newspaper.

What is covering the tank with newspaper gonna do? There is no way to prevent dropeye with silvers kept in aquariums. 20% will get DE before they reach 20".

Instead of newspaper Cover your tank with glass or a hood, makes sure every little hole is sealed so your silver does not end up on the floor.
