Seriously though, did you get a deal, or ripped off, im not quite sure whats going on (with regards you got it for 20$ and then the mention of 300-500 :nilly:

From my understanding is that polypterus are illegal in AUS and therefore the $300-500 is what one would normally pay for one.
 
I didn’t get ripped off. The bichir was in with some fresh water eels, the eels were labled as 20 dollars, and the new kid didn’t know what it was, so he sold me the poly as an eel..

Eels are around 20 bux.
Polys are around 300 bux.

I ended out getting a very good buy

good you can get a deal like that, your average aus fishkeeper does need to catch a break now and again lol. Remember though, you get all the cool native snakes and other sp.
