ok i have heard that this is true and untrue in many places and im going to try it..... dont try to convince me not too just give me the best information......

im looking for some livebearers to go in with a few RBPs i want them to be small i have heard that if the fish is small then the the P will not waste the energy going after it. i will have about 12 rbs in a 120 gallon when they are 1 inch..... i currently have a 180 gallon with OLD 6 year old oscars in it that the i will split the piranhas in.

ok back to my main question, im looking for livebearers that are guppie sized, endlers livebearers..... and others that u know that will hide near the bottom and in the densly planted back corners and middle column of driftwood i will put in..... i have guppies breeding right now but they seem in no way to hide...... will they be different to predators?

if ther are no livebearers like this then plz let me on to rapid egg layers like white clouds or zebra danios.......

what you are trying to do is possible if the setup is correct, meaning you'll need plenty coverage for them to hide other wise they are still subject to be eaten by piranhas even they are much smaller.
lots of plant coverage would be good to help provide hiding spots for small fish and their young, especially some floating plants with long roots or something alike.
also, there needs to be some size difference between piranhas and those liverbearers, 1" rbps probably won't do much harm but as they get a little bigger then they can pick off those little tankmates.
in general livebearers are somewhat slow swimmers so they are easy to be caught, I would say go with small and fast swimming fish if you want to add some activities to the tank.

focus on waterchanges and feed them pellets if ur good enough

alright i want something that will reproduce since i know through natures selection the piranhas will kill the weaker and.... dumber ones..... what are some good egglayesrs that are small and fast?

Howdy,

I have Black Bar Endlers in my planted 220 with pirayas :D
(Occasional restocking from the breeding colony needed)

convicts.....only problem is when there are babies....your rbp might be in for a fight from the parents. Ive been breeding them in a seperate tank then when they are about an inch long I dump them all into my Rhom tank. 3 days later the convicts make new eggs. I assume if they had eggs in the RBP tank as soon as enough babiies died they would breed again. The male isnt scared to attack my hand when I stick it in there though, so I assume he wouldnt be scared to attack some little rbp either.

I'd go with convicts, they are fast swimmer than most livebearers and they breed fast.
just provide lots of hiding places for them and put in few pairs and you'll be good.
