I got TSN at LFS

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
18" depth.... 12" cat.... hmmm.... and a year is a long time to build a tank or buy one.. 6 month ago I owned a 10 gallon tank and that's it now 6 months later I own 5 tanks .....and its actually in a 29 gal tank right now. and when it gets a little larger a 55 is its next destination, and then the 135.... how short do you think is a year anyway? and even so it still wont have outgrown the 135 @ 12"

The width of a tank should ideally be twice the width of the fish it is housing.

12" is an estimate, I have seen tsn reach over 18" in a year.

A year goes by fast, and at the size tank, or pond, you will need for the tsn and those silver aros you have, I doubt you will have upgraded.

Not to mention the tsn x rtc hybrid you stated you have also.

yeah that's why I am going to go bigger.... lol I search everyday for bigger tanks on Craigslist. im sure a good deal will pop up between now and 1-2 years when I need to upgrade. you never know I could find it tomorrow. why are you so worried about what I am doing anyways? glad you took the time to look up all the post I have created/posted on. makes me feel special that you care so much about me

12" is an estimate... it could grow larger, it could grow smaller in that time.... also those three 1.5-2" baby arowanas i am not going to keep for life. i clearly know i cannot house that many. i found them on craigslist for $12 a piece. since i enjoy the hobby, i am going to enjoy going these little babies out and as soon as they grow up im going to sell them off. heck i might even just make a profit doing something i enjoy. and once i do that i just might contact the same guy and get 3 more aros and grow them out again. as for the hybrid and tsn i do have. since you were looking into my posts and info then you would know i also just posted on the silver aro that was 26" kept in a 70 gallon tank. and how i said i would never do something like that. so if you need to know anything else just let me know.

p.s. who are you to say i wont have upgraded? 55 gallon tank was my largest tank at the time i wanted a silver aro. i researched and found out how large it does get. i bought a 6" without having anything larger than a 55 gallon tank. 2 months later i already purchased a 135 gallon and was in the middle of cycling it. now that is its home until it outgrows that. as i stated earlier i am constantly looking to upgrade.

also i would never keep a too large of fish in a too small aquarium. i would either sell it to someone that can house its size or take it to one of my many LFS and get 30% of its value in store credit! its funny you guys think i haven't thought of what i would do with these fish when they get large. i understand that they do, and that is the appeal about them. i love the hobby. i interact with them everyday. (since ya'll keep up on my postings) i lost a bichir a week ago or so. i wake up in the middle of the night and morning to check to make sure they are all there.

haha ya u aren't cause you have no leg to stand on. take your negativity elsewhere. and the next time I ask for your opinion will be the first time. LOL im in over my head...I think you are the one in over your head in this conversation. you clearly know nothing. yet you think you know everything. stay out of my business.
