Happened today... I am not expecting them to hatch out on a first attempt, but I'm happy that I got a spawn....I'll keep you posted.

I've got a couple good shots of the mom, but I haven't gotten around to taking any good ones of the dad. I got the dad as a beat up two year old breeder.....He is nice looking, but was very skinny when I acquired him. He was being bullied around in his tank...I was just in the process of fattening him up when he got up enough energy to....Well, you get the picture! Here are some pics:

You can see the male in the last two shots....This was when I first brought him home, he was obviously still stressed a bit. The female is the nicer looking fish.

Oh yeah, I only have about 35 eggs left now. I kinda expected it. This is her first spawn, but he has never been an egg eater. Hopefully she catches on.
