i hate being young

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
First of all, youth should never be seen in a negative way most especially if you look at it in a financial view. You are young and you are not suppose to have that much money. Asking for a loan from friends at such a young age to buy tanks is not a good idea. Might as well get a paper route or something.

Second, you are in a forum wherein a big majority of the members have bigger than average fish tanks compared to what the general population owns. What I meant by average fish tanks are 5-30 gallon tanks which is probably what most people see.

I guess what I am trying to say is that you belong in NBA D-League wherein most talents (fishkeepers) are being groomed so that they can play in the big league/nba (monsterfishkeepers).

Now if your family is very well to do, that's totally different story and I'm sure there are a lot of youngins here who have extremely large tanks with extremely expensive fish.

Don't breed fish lol...get a job, fish aren't profitable

Ha, im 15 n got a 30gal soon to get a 20gal to do a salt tho. And I stilll will have less gallons total then your one tank. But I find fish I like for my tank and roll with it

At least you can keep more fish. like you can mix it up instead of just one kind of tank (african, SA etc

I wouldnt recommend getting a loan to pay for something especially an aquarium, if you cant afford it right now that means that you just need to save or wait till you can.

why wouldnt you recommend getting a loan from a friend. i could of gone to the bank because im old enough now to get a loan but thats why i got it from my friend. they know im not gonna pay them right away. an aquarium cost way way way less than a car, so that means you dont have to wait or save money to get a tank if you have some good friends and they can trust you then you can get a loan. and pluss if you get a loan from a friend NO INTEREST.

Why get in debt for a $400 Aquarium? you dont have a job yet and you dont know when you are going to get one... your friends may eventually get tired of not getting paid and it will probly be difficult to sell the aquarium for the $400 so it is just better to be safe then sorry...

borrowing from friends normally ends a friendship especially in a long term loan like yours.

Could be worse, the biggest tank I have is a 30. I'm 14, and I don't expect anything bigger any time soon.
