i hate chavs

I just returned from "Bike Week" as I call, others call it "Black" bike week. "Harley" Bike week is the week before but we can't refer to it as "Redneck" bike week or it would be seen as racist or discriminatory towards that group of people. But for it to be referred as black bike week just drives me crazy, I won't jump out and call anyone racist, but for 6 pages to go on of being discriminatory I cannot tolerate.

That is a great example. The tolerance level for discrimination against certain groups is sad. People can talk about poor people like ****, and no one cares, but then someone calls someone a hick, and all hell breaks loose.

If that was you that had tripped and fell and you were mentally retarded how would you have felt though...I find things funny like the you might be a redneck jokes, carlos mencia all that, but hate is a very strong word. In this circumstance I just see it differently.

I know that no one can change racism or what happened, but in no way do I see color as a barrier or that it makes someone different. Just because someone is whatever color or ethnicity, speaks another language, or is a part of a differnet social class make them better than anyone else. That was the purpose of this thread from the beginning. I was saying if the intention had been about hating someone for their class or race then it would have gotten a lot of mixed responses. I just find it disgusting that people laughed at it when in the same contenxt would have found it offensive. It really shows ones true colors as you so stated that everyone is racist to some extent. I am not, I see nothing different in the color of someones skin or where they may come from. That is the problem with the world today, especially politics. I just hate to see ignorance so far spread. This is suppose to be 2008 and the 21st century. Race should not even be an issue, but its people that do take it to far that brings the comments from people out that normally wouldn't. and i agree that racism should not be present on this forum, this is about fish, why is this thread still even up, ive seen threads get deleted for much less than this

I completely agree with you in that the video was freakin hilarious. If princess had just posted this video, this thread would have been great, but the "i hate chavs" comment came and that is what I disagree with. Discrimination. Period.

Can anyone on this site argue that this thread is full of discrimination?

thats not the point. i didnt laugh at the kid because he was MI, i laughed because he fell, it wouldnt have mattered if he was stupid, a genius,white, black, or purple.

it is full of discrimination, and the chavs comment wasnt necessary, but still, as i said before, it isnt that big of a deal

Since when is discrimination not a big deal??? My family would be considered poor working class, and if I lived in Europe, I know I could be considered a chav because of this...

if he was normal, it probably would have been more funny because he would have had no excuse, and no your right, she probably wouldnt have told me not to laugh

if you saw someone fall and you thought they were fine and thought it was funny, would you look back on it and say "that isnt funny" if you later found out the kid was touched?

If it helps I'm a cracker and have probably been poorer than any of you and I don't care.. You are in the midst of alot of people who have been dirt poor. A joke is a joke. From what I get "chav" is more of an attitude, lack of class. And just because you're poor or working class doesn't mean you have to have a lack of class.

chav isnt just someone who is poor. if you didnt dress and act like a thug, you would just be poor
