I hate Christmas so much.

from my research in religous studies, presents, christmas trees, santa claus lol, have nothing to do with Christianity, so why do people do it, coz its just culture.

celebrating christmas is not even metioned in the bible, the true date of jesus's birth is not known precisely

Its just celibrating his birth the exact date has nothing to do with it

I hate seeing the people I see once a year, and then they act like there my best bud, its so anoying.

yeah i had a friend who was starting to become mean, you know typical bullying harassing annoying attitude anyway so i brought him some candy to try to restore our freindship sorta. he loved it but was soon asking for more etc. i told him no and the day after he took me to the fishstore but they didnt have any fish i wanted then, so anyway he said he would take me again tomorow. well that day he completely changed he was a complete jerk. he hit me fought me, swore, put me down, told lies about me, and several times either threw the basket ball at me or kicked it WWAAYY down the street once some freinds came to play at our hoop with a flat ball i offered mine for them to play with while i pumped up theirs. my ex freind grabbed it and kicked it way down the street and wouldnt get it. i was SO mad but eventually got it. that day i actually punched him in the stomach twice a thing i have NEVER done before. i am not hot tempered at all normally but somehow i was extremely depressed that day. Any way the next day it got worse, and my foot was cut by a stone he threw. that night it was eggs he threw. wow i just relized how boring and off topic this was
dear op you are not looking at the true meaning of christmas and i hope you will find the true meaning. presents and eating isnt the reason.

wo i will get my first infracture, probably a permanent ban, not to mention be despised by everyone who reads this. bye

i wouldnt mind christmas so much if there wasnt SOOO MUCH pressure to go buy crap in the stores. i feel like i have to spend money. i love getting together with the family, and just visiting-but the pressure to buy the right gift is overwhelming.

you can thank America for making Christmas what it is. Before the victorian days, trees were decorated with apples (signifying the garden of eden ), and gifts werent exchanged until the 1800's. it started with cards and small gifts and led into the madness it is today.

Im not going to bring my views on religion in this since we dont talk about it on mfk, and i respect that-it will only make some mad. but i believe we have swerved waaaay off the road on the true meaning of christmas and landed squarely in the land of "Lets buy the most expensive **** we can".

i think christmas would be a whole lot better if we didnt buy gifts-just got together and ate, talked and played stupid games! lol
