no i didnt buy anything from there thats tainted or anything, i applied there and they turned me down because i am "overly qualified". apperently i am going to take over the petsmart stoar, and then the whole petsmart chain, so i applied at petco and hope i get the job.

i love the avatar!oh no i didnt make it to the interview they called me and told me that i am overly qualified, but hey im sure petco will take me in
haha its allright. I applied at my pet store, told i did real well on the fish test (as they said expierence and knowledge w/fish was necessary) and as a result was called for an interview, then when there was told i would be getting minimum wage and not really working the fish section, (that was for thier full time year round employees) but cleaning animal cages such as dogs, rabbits, etc mainly instead. Needless to say I b.s.ed the rest of the interview, was kind of mad i took off work to go to it, and when they asked if i had any questions after, i said no.
well the thing is im up there every other day and all ofd the employees know me by heart, 3 of them even refered me, but no im gona go phyco and take the place over, so they wont see me again
Why would you be over qualified. They have to be retarted or something because who would turn down a person who can bring bigger and better sales in and still know tons about any fish you put in front of them. They are STUPID!! Don't work there if they are that dumb. Petco maybe different but they suck just as bad. I would say apply for a LFS management position. Strictly fish though because you can never be " over qualified". OMG i am peeing my pants lol "over qualified" hahaha.
well my friend todd a.k.a guppy breeder applied there but they cant hire him due to school and he wont be able to work good prime hours
lol maybe "overqualified" maybe bc the manager doesnt want to look dumb when it comes to fish knowledge compared to you. I was in there last week and when i told them i wanted a senegal bichir they made me point it out, bc they had no clue which fish it was even though it was in thier tanks. Dont sweat it, the same reason you got turned down, is the same reason a real quality fish store will hire you.
