I have not tried dried krill. Thanks. Do you know if there is a direct corelation between how much these large fish eat and their growth rate? I hope this doesnt mean he will be stunted.

Also, what he doesnt eat ... the other fish do after a bit. If they dont, I remove it after fifteen minutes. Also running a drip system and so on.

"Power feeding" is a myth. The BEST way to get growth is large frequent water changes and a varied steady diet.

What sized tank is the fish in and with what?

He is in a 150 with a Herichthys Carpintis Escondido and a Andinoacara Stalsbergi. The jag and the Stals are about the same size and the carpintis is the smallest. The stals is the king of the tank right now and the carpintis is the bottom. There is no fighting, but there is some very mild chaseing from time to time. My tank has a drip system that adds about 20 gal of fresh water per day. I also do a 50% water change every five days. The tank is kept at 80 degrees. Nitrites and Ammonia are 0 and Nitrates are under 10ppm.

Here is an iPhone pic from a couple weeks ago. I feel terrible even posting it after seeing Aquamojo's photos.

Looks kinda streched here ... a much better representation in my profile pic.
