It gave me the idea to substitute a transparent-liner above ground pool (a la comment 20) for my future custom tank upgrade, with the following upsides:
-May be cheaper.
-Easier to get in the house.
-Weighs less than a glass or acrylic tank.
-Better weight distribution (whole footprint of pool contacts floor).
