I've been going around gathering info on what fish I want...How to house them etc. I'd like to know now, how would I filter such a beast? (1300 gallons to be exact)

Would a couple of pond filters work? And are they just like aquarium canister filters, but bigger?

The fish in the tank would be a few big catfish (Rtc, tsn, and rtc/tsn hah) and maybe a silver arowana.

If anyone could answer my questions, I would greatly appreciate it. :D

Anyone?

You are asking us "how do I filter a 1300 gallon catfish tank"... and it's just to big of a question to answer...

There are over a dozen basic approaches you could take to properly filter a tank such as this... there are hundreds of ways you could apply each of these basic approaches...

Tell us what you have in mind and you'll get people willing to offer advice on your ideas.

From my understanding, you get a filter, and a pump. They both have to match in gph, and you pump the water with the pump, through the filter, and back into the pond.
Please correct me if im wrong (which I probably am..)
So I was planning on getting 2 setups which pump about 4000 gph together.
Do I need more or this stock? What would be the best filtration for keeping it clear, nitrates down, and pretty much just a good habitat for an rtc which is the main reason on this pond.
By the way, my plans have changed and the tank would be more around 4000 gallons.
