I have seen these Candles that you stick in your ear. For real you stick this funny shaped candle in your ear while laying down, light the candle then blow it would in a minute or so and somehow it pulls wax out of your ear.
but as for ear tampons that's a new one to me. But just sticking cotton balls in your ears is something I have seen plenty of.
