i have an empty 55gal...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have 2 breeding pair of cons in a 55, with a few spare cons that haven't hooked up yet. but they geet boring after a few weeks and a thoudand fry. the JD idea would certainly keep the population in check.

kribensis or kribs, easy and fun, get like a dozen and throw them in your 55, go to ebay and get a couple "breeding caves". way fun watching them protect their cave and their fry/eggs. they also handle a wide variety of water peramiters.

you could do electric blue jack dempseys depending on your financial situation and your level of experience keeping fish. you could try fire mouths, salvini, cons, severums, or blood parrots. if you are a fan of hybrids, you could make fertile blood parrots by crossing a male sev and a female parrot, and then taking a male of those offspring and cross it with a female regular blood parrot. that would make you some money in the long run.:D
