Congrats! What do you plan on doing with the babies? I have a 6-7 year old male Sulcata I recused a few years ago. I'd like to keep a pair of them but he's trouble enough!

Congrats, brother!

I have to agree they're fun but a handful.

Thanks John, I'll have to stop by soon for a visit.

They are fun when they're little, not so much as adults.

I'm going to keep one and give the rest away. If I get more I will try and sell them, I'm not incubating the eggs. If they hatch, they hatch, I'm just glad my neighbor spotted one in her yard or who knows I might not have noticed them. They can be a pain: the butt, my yard is a freaking mess. They are messy and don't have any manners, at least the dog knows to use the grass. These guys just go wherever they are.

That's amazing that your climate allows for them to hatch naturally in the yard. I'd love to have some of these, sadly my area is too cold to keep them outside in the Winter.

Amazing it is. I've found eggs before, this is the third nest that I'm aware of about 50 eggs total and only 5 hatched. The guy at the reptile store was surprised as well, saying that these should be hardier than incubated ones. Could have something to do with the drought here, we quit watering the yard and maybe good timing with the weather. I don't really know, but if it happened once it could happen again. The male tries making babies everyday in the summer, and I mean everyday. He's a noisy guy. I have a video but don't know how to attach it. 20140905_165019-1.jpg
