I have crickets in my room!! help

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My dogs have found them in the house when I couldn't.
Go to the shelter, save a pet :)

I used to order crickets by the 1000s when I kept and bred geckos. My cat once freed several hundred from a large bin. It was terrible...

Crickets have a short life span. They will die in a few weeks. Unless you get more and let them escape, the problem will continue.
Yeah,I had few that got loose in my basement and they eventually died off.I didn't mind the chirping but I would probably feel different if they were loose in my room.

if ya are gonna use the sticky fly trap... cut an orange in half and put that on the inside ... i used to keep thousands of crickets for my reptiles and they would suck the orange dry in about 15 minutes ....

Thats a big PITA. I had about 200 get out of a box in my basement. I would've moved if it was where i slept. They made noise forever until the basement got really cold for a few weeks. I think they were reproducing.

I also had some type of worm that i cant remember (meal, wax, super or something) and i left them in a room that was too warm and some ended up turning into bettles and decided to leave the tub they were in. That was just creepy to have beetles everywhere. If i didn't catch it before most turned i woulda had a entire house full of them. I had like 2000 worms at the time.

Get a small vase, fill it with like rice (raw rice)... and put in a peice of tree branch (with leaves)... shake it for a few minutes, so the rice makes a noise like the crickets would make.

Leave the vase somewhere low... and next morning u should see a lot of them there....

Done it before.
