I am moving from FL (Miami) to WI (Madison) I have a 125 Medium salinity brackish (1.010) with 110lbs of live rock 30lbs of live sand and around 40lbs of slate and the fish in my sig. I had huge plans for these fish plus the TIME invested in this tank. I should start over but I am not going to, I will spend whatever to move these fish so don't say just start over. Cause that wont happen. THANKS FOR ANY HELP....... LOOKING TO LEARN

how are you moving? uhaul?

few rubbermaids an AC converter and some air pumps. it will be a little risky. I wish you the best of luck. probably need drive straight through. how long is that about 30 some hours? I think youd be alright if done right.

also heaters its cold up this way this time of year. or Ive got a 120 brackish with room to house fish for a while. if you know how to ship I could hold your fish you move then ill mail them to you. im in indiana. and would be willing to help out.

i agree, that wouldn't even be expensive. if there are no large temperature fluctuations and enough aeration the fish should be able to survive quite awhile, larger the volume of water the better of course. good luck!:)

Well I am taking a uhaul truck and a car I am from the north and was worried about the cold I will keep the fish in my car but the live rock will it be okay in the cold for a short time or will the algae it will take 30 to 35 hours cause I have my daughter also riding up with us

I won't be able to set up 100 gal quarantine tank and my 125 tank right away any way the time spent on them it would cost less to bring them with me plus they are my baby's watched them grow u know how it is when you know your fish and there personality's I am going to be raising them together in hopes of breeding and moving up to a 300 then 600

Thanks everyone

God I love it when people don't listen...Brackishbandit Clearly says... Not willing to start over... will spend whatever to move

thanks .....hey I get attached... I spend allot of time with these guys and released allot of stress doing it.:):):) maybe I am stupid for this but I will take the hit for that

If you ARE willing to spend whatever - sit back, and hire somebody to do this for you - Pay extra for a heated box truck, etc etc... I think that would be the least worry, and stress to you, especially if you have your family to think about, too.
