I have to re seal this don’t I?

Had I known about the snake and seen a picture of the seams I would have passed immediately but I didn’t take too good a look at it when I picked it up so I failed to see it before I bought it.

If anything I may just use this 125 and the cracked 125 for a double reptile tank.

Better off that way.
Or maybe try resealing it and make a paludarium type enclosure, keep water maybe just about 20% . I think it would hold that much water.

It probably damaged from heat lamp and especially UV lamps. Not worth resealing. Sell it to a reptile keeper and start over

Why is this not worth resealing? It's not as if a reseal is a ton of work. Are you saying the structural silicone is most likely compromised as well?

I would have no problem resealing or even rebuilding that tank, I would even enjoy it if I had the room in my workshop right now. 125s don't exactly hang from trees where I'm at. This is exactly how I started to learn about tank construction, refurbishing used tanks and putting my fish in them.

Shame you’re 10 hours away or I’d offer the tank to you.

Let’s rephrase and say that the individual will have to decide if it’s worth it based on their skill or lack thereof, time, learning curve, etc. Where I come from, used tanks are plentiful. And no, I don’t know if the structural silicone is bad but I would err on it being bad, especially due to the UV rays and heat lamps reptile keepers use. Anyways, OP asked for opinions. Seems yours differ with mine and that’s just fine....he’ll decide what’s best for himself
