Thanks everyone :) I was very relieved to see him doing better. I didn't end up using anything really except for some melafix and some large water changes. Like I said I'm not sure if it's gone completely but he's doing a whole lot better. I'll just keep my fingers crossed that it resolves itself. He is one of my best fish and the leader of his pack so I would be upset if I lost him. Woot!

Snap a picture of it again, I'm interested to see the regression of the inflammation.

Actually I'm not sure if it went away...but it's gotten a lot smaller for a fact. Would any one like a tissue sample? :) Not really...

I'm not going to take him out again I think the reason he was getting picked on was because I took him out and he was very stressed. When I think it's time I may snap one more but not for a while. I do appreciate the concern though. Thanks.
 
keep him in the tank and nobody can tell you if that is really cancer from just looking at a photo, it may have been a small infected spot some sort of wound, it could be anything.

just leave him in the water..........
