Early on today, there was a 9 hour powercut here. From about 7am to 4pm. Absurd.
The powercut was due to some fairly heavy winds and rain, that was it
And it took 9 hours to get the electricity back on.
I was pretty worried about my fish. Mid afternoon, the tanks looked pretty damn murky and some of the fish were freaking out, but luckily they all survived, including my cuban gar.
Then to add insult to injury, the broadband/phoneline went down for a couple of hours after the power returned
And I went to a supermarket after the power returned, and there were 4 powercuts while I ws in there, for a couple of minutes at a time hahahahaha. Damn 3rd world country.
The fish are one thing, but I also work from home.
Compared to other countries I've lived in, England and France, I can only recall one powercut in the last 15 years or so, and that lasted about 30 minutes.
To conclude ladies and gentlemen, this country really sucks, and I'm going to move in a few months
