I just bought this DIY-tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Filter and tank looking good! What are you using for bio material?
Thanks Loubard!

The top crate is empty, its to create a nice shower for the next crates.
In the second I have sponge mats (sorry don't know the correct english name)

In the third I have large bioballs, can barely see them in this pic

And in the two last crates I use the small bioballs (Kaldnes K1)

More or less the same materials I use in a sumpfilter for a couple of my smaller tanks.

I'm planning to take better pictures of the tank with my brothers camera, these pics are taken with my mobile phone...

great tank!! I would love to build a huge tank too... think im gunna go Tenecor tho 8)

Been out in the woods collecting sunken roots in the lakes.
Its about 3-400 kilos of them in there now...

Some of the cichlids have allready laid eggs. :)

And in a small tank I got this "monster to be" Giant gar.
Hes not big, but he eats a lot of guppys and neons so I think he will grow fast..

Deffinatly a needle nose gar. Not a true gar and will stay quite small (around a foot). I don't think that it will be able to hang with your other guys. I would get a different gar if you want to put him in your big tank.
