I'm turning into a fish addict! Always going out with my paycheck and spending the whole dam thing in 2 days and the fish store!!! :cry: It's addicting! Plus, I'm actually spending the money I use to buy groceries and pay bills, but instead, i'm buying anything I can to support my fish hobbie!

Anyone else in the same situation?
 
Not here either...

You have to have a fish budget for each paycheck. It has to be an exact amount out of each paycheck. Its up to you if you want to roll it over from one paycheck to the next if in case you didn't make a purchase on whichever paycheck.

This fish budget has to be after all the bills have been paid and SAVINGS have been put aside.
 
ive gotten way better about saying no. believe me, if i had the money id have more tanks and more fish. i have to resist the in-store temptation. if two days later im still wishing i had done it, ill go back and get it.

i am buying a gold nugget pleco this week though since i got my tax return. could spend more but im holding out for a bigger tank maybe this summer. i have bills and credit cards to deal with that are more important.

the gn pleco though, is one of two species ive failed to keep successfully. i conquered the cardinal tetra finally and have a nice small school living a strong healthy life in my planted tank. ready to get over the gold nugget curse as well! :headbang2 (the tank is mature and i think in the past i either bought poor specimens or introduced them into pleco overloaded environments) this one is going in a planted tank with the cards.

You must be new to the hobby. I was that way a long time ago, but live and learn, sometimes the hard way. After 40 years I'm on a pretty even keel.:ROFL:
