I just can' t take it anymore!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i WAS like that. but avoid goin to the shop now unless i REALLY REALLY have to.
i get my frozen food from a friend and my pellets and stuff from supermarket (that has a special fish section...not just cheap crap lol)
they only get live shrimp once a week now as a treat so i dont go in to the shop lol.......its been a hard month lol

Yeah it's tough. I like to go into the LFS at least once or twice a week to see what's in stock and if there are any deals, but I've been pretty good about not over-doing it. I will need someone to hide my tax refund check however....

:D Can't say I do that, but been close a few times. It's like alcohol, you can drink, but you gotta know your limit. Drink too much, and you become an alcoholic. Set aside a set amount every paycheck that you can afford to be without. If you can't afford it, don't go. Abstinence from the lfs is the best way to keep your money.;)

I was in one of my Favorite LFS last night and had to hold back a lot. I had a good amount of cash on me but left only spending $12. I was proud, so was the GF as the second I walked in the door she merely asked "How much did you spend?"...

They had SOOOOO much stuff I wanted too...

Marbled Pim Cat (Easy 12") $45
Spotted Gar (Easy 16") $70
Baby Silver Aro $40
TSN x RTC 3" $22!!!!!!!!
Nice Red Pike Cichlid 10" $45
Jaguar Cat 3" $40

Among many other things I wanted but as you can see they had a lot of good stuff in stock.

I left with a 3.25" Giant Green Cory cat (To add to my school I already had) and a 1" Juvi Jaguar Cichlid.

Bills and groceries have to be number one oh yeah and gas for the car, you'll learn that one way or another.I can say that after those are taken care of I will hit the stores or the vendors,I cant even recall the last new stitch of clothing that I bought.

It is tough, but remember that your fish need a warm and cool house to live in. SO without you having a place to live then your fish won't either. Pay bills, and eat then worrie about your addiction. Fish and fish tanks will always be around, your house might not be.

well we're not spending ALL our money on it but yeah my fiance and i are pretty addicted! we just got done stocking our 55 gal and we're bringing home another 50 today. plus the tank i got for my daughter and then another one we're going to be setting up... we live in a very small house it's like aquarium central here! we can never get enough!

As painful as it may be bills have to come first. You have to keep telling yourself that. For the past month and half I have had an empty 150g in my living room just begging to be set up. I bought it, fixed up the stand, put it in place and then the extra money ran out. Now I am waiting and slowly allowing this beautiful thing to torture me to death. lol I know it will at least be another month if not longer until I can afford all the extras that I need for it. But it will be worth the wait. :D
