I just don't get it..

my venny ate several small cichlids, a small peacock bass, and if the oscar wasnt bigger than him im sure he'd eat him too....if it will fit in its mouth it will end up there.

I have a lucius, one of the smaller pikes out there but that's why I got him as the rest of my stock (cichlids) full grown (depending on sex) will reach around their max.

I have some smaller cichlids in the tank 3ish inches or so, he hasn't even given them a glance - think they're safe?

See thats the thing, my L-104 is smaller than all those rainbows, yet they share the same piece of driftwood with each other. I don't understand that crazy fishes logic at all.
