I found that link incredibly confusing. As well as a little disturbing.
Despite the fact that the common name for A. labiatus is applied to A. citrinellum, which can be confusing anyway and the fish used were more than likely hybrids of the two themselves, the only picture they show of a "red devil" appears to be a of a rd/midas crossed with something that is not of the same genus.Through years of experimenting, fish breeding researchers have discovered a breeding technique to cross breed between Red Devil (Cichlasoma citrinellum) and Redheaded Cichlid (C. synspillum) to create offspring known as Red Diamond (Xue Zhuan Shi) and Red Precious Stone (Xue Bao Shi).
I may have read it wrong but is the author claiming that "gold severums" (Heros efasciatus) are hybrids? The most successful breeding technique was selecting Red Devil as male parents to produce their second, third and more generations of offspring. This was how today's Gold Severum (Jin Gang Ying Wu) was created.
... ... ...really?Purple Parrot: Have purple color in their bodies due to injections of purple color into either male or female parents during spawning season.

O.K. If blood parrots are sterile.(males) And no one is sure of the proper mix involved.....Where do they come from? if they are sterile they can't come from breeding. And if no one in the world knows the mix they can't be "created".......This is confusing. Can anyone set me strait? Everyone I have asked has had no clue.
