I just got a ball python

you have to look at the length of the tail, I will need a close up of the underside from the vent down. It is hard to tell from this shot since it is so skinny

the tail is cut off some on this shot also how do you tell sex is it the longer or shorter the tail it's a male or female. My friend wants to potentially breed some that he might get so i might try and breed mine with his. Do you know how to breed?

Yours is a tough one but it looks like it has a hemipenal bulge right below the vent so I would say male. At the same time though, its tail is a little bit smaller than most other males that I have seen. If you are really planning on breeding it try to find a reptile shop near you, they will usually probe it for free. Also, there are lot of websites about breeding ball pythons that are very in depth so I suggest starting with google. If you are breeding to sell them though, do not expect much since normals balls are literally being given away nowadays.

I had two of these for years and miss them! They are the greatest snake for pets! Mine took awile to go from mice to rats and usually became "friends" with the rat...If cared for properly they will make great pets you can hold daily!!!

lol, just saw that, my ball used to do that with the fuzzies he ate! he would curl up in a corner and the fuzzy would sit inbetween some of his coils, like how a tree boa rests it's head. then they would both go to sleep.:screwy::ROFL::screwy::ROFL:
