Hawkfish3.0;1855840; said:Hey Scat, how do you differentiate between the 'Tapajos I' and the 'Xingu I' once they reach maturity?
Beautiful pike, BTW!!
Thanks for the info do you think i can get a few more and get away with it together?Peanut_Power;1857287; said:They are pretty easy to tell apart as juv. as well as adults. Xingu I will have the black lateral line, as well as the black spangles on the face. Generally tapajos I lacks these. Plus tapajos I has a humeral blotch behind the pelvic fin.![]()
As adults, there is no mistaking them!!! In tapajos I, BOTH adults look like they are on FIRE. They also still keep their humeral blotch. Xingu I just doesn't even come close. As well, tapajos I is much more slender than xingu I.![]()
Great pike up man!!! Rich originally had them labeled as lugubris....lol....I tried telling him a couple times they were tapajos I, but he's still pretty new to pikes! LoL
Thanks i wish i would have stabbed 4 of them!fishfobia;1857727; said:nice pike nice price
