I did have him on lighter substrate and he was colorful but he is a little bit darker now. When I first added the black sand he looked terrible. I was going to take it out but he adjusted :)

Oh and you should post up some pictures of your male!

It's the same fish but with different lighting from the camera. It's also the same festae I posted a few months back.

Wow Sandy!!!! I cant believe I misses this guy:) he is looking amazing. Great job with him. Is that the male your tryin to find a female for? Nice tattoo also;)

Thanks Jason! Yes this is the male I'm trying to find the ultimate female for. I can't wait until the tattoo is finished, it's gonna be awesome :drool:
