Jags truly are smart.....

Mine would always come over once it see's me coming over to it's tank and I would always hand feed it. If I didn't have food and just place my hand inside the tank, it would know and it wouldn't bite my fingers.

there is no cure for hole in the head only prevention if it start it is not to late to prevent further damage but no an actual cure. you cant kill it. you can just prevent it.

I had an oscar and a jag together for awhile. The oscar was about twelve inches long when I got the jag. jag was about 4 inches when I got him, they left eachother alone at first but when the jag quickly caught up to the oscar in size all hell broke loose they hated eachother. They would fight for territory i my 125 the oscar would give up the jag would be satified with his new territory for about 3 days and fight for the old territory back.

Just about all of the parachromis are extremely intelligent. In fact I did hear somewhere that the dovii(same family) are the smartest fish. I don't know the extent of the truth to that but my buddy did have a dovii that ran and hide every time she even saw the net come out.

i make money of hith...customers pay me to fix it...hehe.yea for me.

Cool story, but weird. I always known jaguars to be phychos of the fish world.
AT first my 13" male jaguar was with my (2) 10" tiger oscars, and will constantly break the fight from both oscars to keep the tank in harmony.
Many months later this same jag went nuts and wont stop at nothing to kill both oscars.
So now this jag is by himself, no tankmates but gravel.:grinno:

And heres the weird thing, I moved my 12" orange male midas from being kept solo (from being so mean) for over 1 year to the oscars tank and he has totally changed and kept the tank quite peaceful. They are still together close to 6 months now.:screwy:
Actually it has 7" male dovii and a 7.5" male orange midas as well with a bunch of stripe raphael catfish.:screwy:

Um, I've cured it before on a rescue fish, the scars stay but the fish becomes healthy so :screwy: :grinno:
