well as some of you know my female marble has been pregnant for some time now. i recently moved her into her own quarantine birthing tank. this tank was 4' long and 2' wide, a nice size for her as she was only 13". i didnt think the baby was due for at least another 30 days.
today when i cam home from work i went downstairs to check on her and her tank was drained and completely empty. there she and her perfect little newborn pup lay dead with no water.
the tank was drilled in the middle and i had attached a bulkhead there. from this bulkhead i had 1" PVC that acted as a return for water into the tank from the sump. the peice was about 14" long. dont ask me why i made it so long but i did. apparently during her delivery, she mush have been violently swimming around the tank dropping her monster 4 1/4" pup. when she hit this pipe the bottom of the tank hairline fractured in 8 different directions. this caused the tank to leak out. i dont know how long it was empty but it was long enough for her and her pup to die.

VERY VERY sad day. i dont understand why this innocent ray and her newborn pup had to die. i cant come up with any logical reasoning to accept this death! life sucks sometimes.
