I have kept African and american together successfully my kribensis and my severum both very much enjoy
the tank.Who else has mixed them and had them happy

I have a pair of kribs with my calico convict pair in one tank. They stay away from each other a lot and stay on opposite sides of the tank.

I had some africans with a severum and a texas. It worked pretty good for a while until my kenyi turned into a little monster. Other than that everything worked out fine.

Aquaman a nice big, spacious tank is usually a good equalizer, what size is your tank?......Uhh Duanes, just how long was that hapless fish left in your tank after it checked out?

It is a 29 but my kribs run it like a prison i am hoping to up soon but they are fine for now.

That's cool.

West african cichlids like kribs aren't a problem with south americans, they are even quite similar. The cichlids you really shouldn't mix are south americans and rift lake cichlids.
