I know they're not monsters but...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The top tank is only 30"x12"x12" approx 15 gallons, the smaller one below is 16"x8"x8" nearly 4 gallons.
The main stand is made from two steel loudspeakers stands I had spare, screwed onto a piece of wood! That simple and works perfectly. As u can see, theres a little bracket screwed onto the wall for safety.
The little stand is just made up from bits of a recycled black ash cabinet.
Total cost....£0

This is what it looked like before I got a hood setup and the little tank..

Heres some other shots of the setup, although the first one on the previous page is probably the best one anyway...

"your top tank is a 20 gallon long "

Remember, when I'm quoting gallons, UK gallons are LARGER than US.
So 15 gallons UK IS more like 20 gallons US.....

Sometimes it ain't bigger in America...! hee hee

no u guys just cant count as high

Actually, we count HIGHER..!

Our Billion is a million x million, in US it's only thousand x million,
our Trillion is a million x billion, in US it's only million x million.
And don't get me started on Quadrillions...

Not only do we count higher, but our billionaires are richer...!!! hee hee

Weights and measures are weird...why can't they all just be the same..?!

By the way, whereabouts in Cali are you? Been out there a whiile ago myself...

I'm gonna talk about platys...yup, that's right, Platys.
The last three months I've had a little breeding program going and now I've got about 100 of the little dudes. Red Wagtail, Gold Wagtail and now Gold Mickey Mouse and Dart tail.
What I didn't realise was how quickly the "Babies" reproduce....
My first batch aren't even 10 weeks old and already 2 of them are pregnant...!
I'm gonna be a grandad!
But on a serious note, anyone tell me if this is normal and will the "Babies" fry live..?
And will they come out as tiny as I think they're gonna?
It's all quite exciting to be honest - it's the first time I've ever had fry live and grow into little fishes and I love them dearly, even though most of them will be gettin traded in at the lfs.
I'm goin to keep 8 of the Gold Mickey Mouse Platys as breeding stock as thats the strain I want to develop (and you rarely see them up here in Glasgow, so good price!)
Any advice and answers to my queries would be appreciated.
Thanks
