I lost my Arowana tonight

Sounds like you did not remove the chlorine and chloramine from the tap water and 50% water change with such water probably killed your arowana. Why the others did not die? Probably they have higher tolerance than that arowana. What you did was similar to what a friend did, and the result --> same --> dead arowana.
 
Sorry bud that sucks! But what's these planaria worms just last night I noticed a few little white wormy things in my tank, just looked it up and that's what thy look like! How do you safely get rid of them and how do they get there, can they harm my fish

I'm so sorry for your loss! Loosing a fish you love is always terrible! :(

But, I feel like if it were something you did, or didn't do, then your entire aquarium would be affected. It's possible that the Arowana became frantic about the water changes, and attempted to jump out, hitting his head in the process?

I've never known planaria worms to harm fish...in fact, I've heard several people tell me that they're beneficial to aquariums?
 
Planaria do not harm fish. They are a by product of uneaten food in the tank. It would be a shame losing a prized fish trying to combat a nonthreatening "problem".



It sounds to me it was a temp issue or chemical contamination. Sorry to hear of your loss.
