Yes people are not big collectors of these fish in NYC they are dirt cheap cause there is not really a demand for them. And I rarely see one over 12 inches here. I dont mind that cause i like watching my fish grow to be monsters. but say like flowerhorns and cichlids go for top dollar here cause everyone here a looking for them for their colors.

The bichir your talking about is endli. Poly bichir bichir is a completely different (and expensive!) species, and trust me, you havent seen one.

How u gonna tell me how much stuff cost where i live. Come to nyc go to 123 elizabeth street (chinatown) and u will see all polys there are 60 and under i never seen one for more then that except and ornate they seem to be the most money there. It all depends on where u go and who is sell this same store sells flowerhorns for 400-800 dollars where as i paid 5 dollars for mine in a different part of the city. Just cause u cant find it for that price dont mean its not the price in another location. just like i couldnt find a del anywhere in nyc or nj. I told a friend that and he showed me a place that was right under my nose. There will always be people who dont believe. And if i didnt have bills to pay and christmas coming up i would make u a believer.

I believe you are mistaken. We are talking about Polypterus Bichirs Bichirs, where as I think you are talking about Endlicheri, or Bichirs in general.

Also you have to understand that there is cheap Bichirs everywhere, even here in japan I can pick up for a few dollars.
Then there is quality Bichirs that you pay a premium for.

To some of us, the premium is worth it.

Want to post pictures of those bichir that you call "PBB"? This will be very interesting.

i will go down there and see what they have and shoot pictures of the prices. I was gonna go and pick a endli and whatever other polys they had there being they are good deals to me according to you guys prices but i had to buy a water pump for my windstar and that put that idea out the window.

And not to steal this guys thread that is a great big pile of polys i like it keep up the work

You won't regret any Endli purchase.
But remember, if they are cheap, they are probably low quality farm bred so don't go buying them just on cost if you are expecting a good specimen. The prices we are talking about are for high grade fish and Polypterus "Bichir Bichir" this is a super super rare fish, so I can pretty much guarantee you wont find any there. If you do, please get pics and prices!

Sorry for the derail gangster,great poly pile by the way but how much would the 16" to 19" PBB toyin has for sale be,id ring him but as im in the uk it would probably cost more than the bichir lol
