It varies....but if properly taken of in a big tank can get 20in plus. This was told by

I believe. He knows some keepers with some monsters curupiras in private large tanks. So the max size of 29inches seems to be correct.
That pic is of hoplias aimara and not a curu though.
Thanks everyones! My friend he is keeping a curupira and said that its growth rate seem to be slower than mala.. My mala get stuck at aroung 12 inches for 1 year maybe i will sell it and get a curu.
